I plan to go to work and laugh at my coworkers for looking like doofuses. The ones that wear costumes anyway.

I'm currently dressed as a pirate. Later I plany to scare children by hiding on my dark porch and then running up and screaming at them. Then I'll watch some Bill and Ted. >_>

I'm not doing anything for Halloween, because the Indian holiday of Divali is the same couple of days, and Divali kicks Halloween's arse all over. Divali has fireworks.

Explosives > Sugar.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I'm dressed as myself. I considered putting on a robber-esque mask and a Santa Claus hat, but that'd be a bit over the edge, don't you think?

I was originally going to go as a victorian-era assassin...but I could'nt get the stage daggers in time (not allowed to carry real ones on campus) so I went with the clasic peasent girl- deerskin skirt, torn peasant shirt and a blue sash...I actually look a little like a gypsy...

What's Divali about?

I'll be going to some Dia de los Muertos (Nov1-Nov2) celebrations/activities in the next few days. I can't go visit the graves I want to (they're cross country and I'm broke) but I'll celebrate the lives of my aunt, grandmother, et al who have died. I've been participating in it since like 1996 or so, it feels better for me than Halloween (as I did it as a kid anyway, no meanings just costume/candy).

Not that the costumes aren't fun; this year one of my friends made a good "butterfly stabbed with knitting needles," though a couple people thought she was the angel of death. Pedestrians! The angel of death does not have antennae (generally).

Divali Fireworks > you

This isn't "you go watch other people launch big fireworks". This is "you launch big fireworks, your neighbor launches big fireworks, and everyone else launches big fireworks". You can get any kind of firework you want over here. I'm going to look for Roman Candles this year.

My school was having a big harvest day festival.

Believe it or not, today is Nevada day. So... yeah. I wore a Japanese headband that said kamikaze on it. (in kanji, of course.)
