Don't know if this old news at all to anyone but this site is great for some laughs.

Computer Stupidities

The majority of stories are people who work at tech support or are a salesman but there are a few stories of customers and students.

Heh, found this site a couple years ago. Great stuff :p

It's also depressing that people like this exist. One of the reasons why I completely hate and distrust the general public.

I worked in a library for a couple of years; I saw some pretty stupid stuff. One woman complained to me about how she wanted to burn something onto a CD so she had bought a CD-R and put it in the drive but it wouldn't work. Knowing that she wasn't too competent with computers, I asked "do you have a CD burner?" Her respons: "I didn't know you needed one of those to burn a CD."

Also, there was a mother and her son (who was about 8 years old) who came into the library one day to print a picture from some website. The kid (who clearly knew more about computers than his mom) minimized the browser so he could go open up an image editing program, and his mom started screaming at him because he "lost" the picture.

A few years ago I was watching TV with a few other people in my college dorm lounge. A commercial for the Pentium II came on. That prompted one of the girls to ask everyone, "Ok, what the heck does that Pentium thing DO in a computer, anyway?""

I thought this was a good question :D
