...so I'm looking for a new player to replace it. Recommendations, please, fitting the following qualities:

  • 4-6 GB of storage space
  • Excellent battery life
  • Not more than $200
  • ...uh...that's it.

Creative Zen Micro maybe? Just don't get the first generation, some pretty big battery life issues and manufacturing faults.

It looks likely that it fell out of my bookbag at one point, as it is not in my car and is not in my house. That means that, assuming no one has stolen it, it is somewhere on the ground on campus. And that's a big assumption.

Samsung has some good ones, or you could go with the Creative. I think Sony's making a player with OLED screens soon, but I have no idea how much it would run you.

Sony's are nice. But theres one major problem. (Well it might not matter to some people). You cannot transfer the songs back to your PC after transferring them to the player.

Creative offer some very nice players at a great price. The Zen Touch is the one of the cheapest 20gb around and it's a great player.
