Senior Supper

Tonight was the class senior supper. It was a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, and best of all, they handed out the superlative awards.

I won 'Class Clown' >.< w00t. My friend won 'Most likely to be successful', but I can't complain. It was pretty damn cool to win one of the awards. Overall a fun night.

So who else had senior suppers at their school? Or perhaps some kind of superlative ceremony?

(I'll post pics tommorow, I have SAT's at 7a.m. tommorow, so I need sleepy)

Same here, in a way. Instead of "awards," we have the Class Prophecy. It's a short story depicting what everything will be like 10 years down the road.

I just got announced as "Most Original" at my school. I don't know whether to be honored or dismayed.

Or me. My mate's dared me to go in a dress to the prom so that she can go in a kilt.

I don't see it happening.
nope.

We had awards, but they always were rigged to who was in journalism at the time. As for anything for seniors....um...prom was about it. My high school was...*stops and shakes her head*

Meh, senior awards are just a huge popularity contest like everything else in high school. And since when does popularity ever mean anything significant once you've graduated?

I'm the "loner least likely to get an award," har har.

It's all in fun. And popularity still helps a lot when you're out of high school. Those who are popular with their peers and know how to network will be the most successful. In a corporate environment, it's less what you know, but more who you know.

According to someone that was in on the vote counting process, dispite my complete lack of popularity, I was almost given a title in one of those things. Two of the catagories were "Most Likely to be President" and for some reason "Most Likely to be Vice President" and I lost the Vice President category by ~5 votes. Knowing the guy who one the President, I would truely be afraid for the country were it led by he and I.

Difference being I did go in a dress, and it was completely free will - no dares or bets involved.

Yeah. I didn't get any recognition like "best . . ", but I knew who got what before the public did because I was on the yearbook staff :) They aren't always accurate though and some of the categories are pretty stupid.

Had several senior dinner occasions. Didn't "win" anything really, except an art scholarship. Just one of the mass. Never really did anything to distinguish myself much.
