video card.

today i replaced my old Nvidia GeforceFX 5200 with an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. (got it for 165 Australian dollars, which is about 120 US)

so, i want to know who here would have the best video card.

About the price of a X1800 XL.

It was on sale for Halloween. Right now it's the highest-end ATI card you can buy (but that'll change in a couple of weeks when the X1800 XT comes out).

I didn't think that was even available yet!

X300 :( (i'll be going nVidia with a 7800GT within the coming year though)

I'm still chugging away with my FX5700 256mb. I'll be upgrading within the year. Hopefully the whole system will undergo an upgrade, not just the video card.

I need to change it soon though, can really tell its age now with the latest games. It's pretty much the bottleneck for my system

I'm sorry, you said you wanted a GAMING rig?

NoESC--the X1800XL Crossfire will probably kick the 7800GT SLi's ***, from what I can tell in benchmarks. Crossfire seems to go over a lot better than SLi in general.

I'm hoping that all parts of my machine will continue to work in harmonious bliss once I perfect my cooling system on Monday.
