Just curious. I wanted public opinion before I went out and bought any of these.

Well, I've only played Doom 3 on that list, so I liked it the most.

Quake 4 all the way. Doom 3 was a good game, but Quake 4 is what it should've been.

Didn't get into SWAT 4 all that much.

In my opinion Doom 3 was better than Quake 4. But thats just me.

Well...if you like to pretend you're a policeman, Swat 4 all the way, it's awesome. If you like action, probably doom or quake.

It's better than Doom 3. I never played Swat 4.

Quake 4. I'm getting to the point in the game where I have to redo sequences a lot...definitely more fun than Doom 3 IMO. Though the Doom 3 expansion was cool...it also looks amazing and runs great. <3 this game

Swat 4 was horrible, movement felt like walking in a pit of molasses...

I'm pretty sure Quake 4 was just Doom 3 with more lights.

Out of those, Doom 3.

But IMO you'd be better of getting FEAR or Call of Duty 2.

kyle90, try playing the game before saying that. Its completely different. Its not as clustered as doom 3, and the overall pace of the games is much faster, and bares much more action. Interacting with more allies is also a plus in this game.

Yeah, I know. :p Actually I'm enjoying it; it's just that a lot of it seems to be very similar... the reused sounds, computer effects, etc... and of course there's the whole thing where it's on the same engine. It feels similar.

Anyways, I liked Doom 3 too; but F.E.A.R. blows them all out of the water.

Hated Doom3. I like quake4 for the most part. The vehicle levels make me angry. The level where you had to walk around in your ship looking for the briefing room was freaking stupid. Other than that, it's cool.

Wait, you mean your character isn't an olympic sprinter?

Am I the only one that sees more lag on the human ship than in ANY of the Strogg environments?

Quake 4 has very few things rehashed from Doom 3--most of these being a few interactive computer terminals, a few models used for pipes and whatnot, and the upper-body armor for marines. Other than that, it's pretty much its own game.

Oh, and the mech walker KICKS *** (though I got past that part a long time ago). The only thing I hate is that the Dark Matter gun isn't all-powerful...but the fact that you find so many cores anyways makes it worthwhile.

I miss the BFG from doom though. But other than that, I loved Quake 4
