Lucasarts likes to make their games realistic

Disclaimer: Meaningless rambling follows.

I am replaying KotOR 2, and I have to say, Lucasarts did a good job of making all the women in that game nutty. Let's see, you have creepy Kreia, Sith Revan(who from all the pointers Lucasarts intended to be a woman I think), in-the-closet Sith Atria, and disturbingly calm sith Visas. Now, I'm not to Mirra(sp?) yet, but I remember her being halfway sane, but now I know Handmaiden is ****ing crazy too. I get the stuff for my lightsaber on Dantooine and go to my ship to make a saber. I end up fighting Visas. Well, I make the saber than talk to her so I can bring her along for the big Dantooine battle. Well, I bring her and Kreia out and I forgot to upgrade my saber with crystals so I go back in. Next thing I know Visas and Handmaiden are going at each other and then I go to talk to Handmaiden and she essentially tells me to go **** myself(which really pisses me off since I haven't gotten her to Jedi Guardian and now I can't). Talk about random nuttiness. Where the hell did that come from? Was there some messed up love triangle that spontaneously appeared when I wasn't looking and I wasn't aware of until I got screwed out of a Jedi Guardian? Screw this, I'm taking Atton and Bao-dur outside from now on.

Maybe this is for the best. I remember having troubles on which Jedi/Sith to bring along with me, now it will be easier.

You can say yourself if Revan is male or female.
Just complain when Atton(?) mentions her as female and he will be male.
Sorry for the lousy German

At least according to the Wikipedia article he is canonically male.

*shrug* I know you can change the gender and side. I just went with the flow though. Seems to me they were implying Revan was a dark side woman(especially when Kreia talked about sith and how men do more overt slaughter and the women have more finesse about it). In the end though, Lucasarts did well in keeping it ambiguous. Anyway, it just seems Lucasarts really tried to force some kind of affection BS into the game. Seems there is no option to stay out of it(or I missed it).

Revan is definatly famale. I unlocked a message from carth stored on t3 stating that she wwas infact female. Speaking of has anyone ever managed to have a conversation with carth in person on Telos? I did it once but never again.

That message varies depending on whether you said Revan was male or female at the beginning of the game.

I'm sorry but KOTOR 2 sucked.

Kotor 2 to Kotor was the DS9 to TNG.

The subplots and factions and different groups of people all in one place was reminiscent of DS9's darker tone. Also didn't always make alot of sense, and put alot of emphasis on plots that people didn't originally care about.

TNG was all about peace, the adventure, exploration, and doing the right thing...not to mention teh family aspect of people on the ship, very little disagreement, but simultaneously not a perfect world.

Not ot say DS9 was bad...I just... didn't like how KOTOR 2 played out. By the end of the game it was like "ok... what did I spend the last 30 hours for? To figure out what everyone in the last game did, and to please this old woman who wanted a fight? BORING"

You, good sir, are a horrible person :(

DS9 wasn't even supposed to be similar to TNG. It was a completely different show with a completely different angle.

KOTOR 2, on the other hand, was a lukewarm clone of KOTOR 1 ---- so it's VOY, the crappiest show to ever exist. DS9 is more like Jedi Knight - it's the same universe but it's totally different.

Edit: Angry about something else, sorry for the harshness

After thinking about it for 30 seconds, your comparison is actually much more accurate than mine.

Minus the whole "trying to get home for 7 seasons" thing.

Voyager went nowhere...didn't accomplish anything...and existed for the purpose of...well...ratings..and crap.

Actually, Kotor 2 was made by Obsidian Entertainment, not Lucasarts. Sorry if I'm being picky by stating that.

Old News.
It had the potential to be way better than KOTOR, with more story elements and better interaction with the other party-members.
The only thing that pulled it down was, that it was never finished.
Apart from the bugs many story elements just stopped being relevant.

Oh, and it was too easy. But that was the issue with the first part, too.
