Eh, I don't like µTorrent.

I prefer the bloated Azureus, I love it. :-)

Yep. FTW.

uTorrent doesn't have the ability to force announce, which is key to getting a torrent moving quickly.

Not to mention, Bittornado has a much simpiler GUI.

Err.. point it out, because I checked every menu.

There's a command to reload the peer list, but not to reannounce. (Reannounce tells the server and peers that you are there for downloading.)

Besides, Bittornado seems to be moving quite a bit faster.

On top of all that, BitTornado is so. Freaking. Simple. It just works, doesn't use much resources at all, sits on my tray, and is so straight foreward. All other bittorrenting programs are just bloated next to the perfection that is BitTornado.

I just use Bittorrent, is there any reason to use anything else?

On things like full ROMsets, etc. the original client sometimes has problems with hashchecking all those files.

For those of you who are new and have only seen the new BT official client, the old official one was like bittornado but simpler.

BTW, I use bitcomet. Fast C++ based client that's like Azureus but less bloated.

I tried BitTornado. The UI was ugly as sin, and derived from BitTorrent's OLD ui. The new ui in bittorrent beats it easy.

This UI is great. This is my new torrent proggie. :D

And downloading selected pieces of a torrent FTW.

Uh, Bittornado has had that feature for... most of it's lifespan.

And the new UI sux0rs completely.

I use torrentstorm.

Because it doesn't need to hash check a file when it resumes.

You do realize that isn't a good thing, right?

It hashes the file to make sure it isn't corrupted. Otherwise, you're stuck redownloading the whole damn file.

Congratulations. Here's how much that matters:

Zero.

I HAVE had files become corrupt, it's by the torrent system's nature that it can occur (tons of peers, unreliable internet connections). Just because you haven't run across it yet, doesn't mean anything.

Run a manual hash of the file and the bad sections will automatically be deleted and redownloaded.

i've used Azureus, BitTornado, ABC, and BitComet.

BitComet is the only choice.

I use BitComet as well. Now that they've fixed how it was reporting ratios wrong, it's pretty much perfect.

I hash check at the end, anything that MIGHT HAVE BEEN BAD would be re-downloaded.

The kicker is, I've still never had to re-download anything.

BitComet, at least the more recent versions, KICKS ***. Seriously, it's the only client I know of that has so much control over what you can do while not lagging *** on your computer.

C++ >> Java >>>>> Python as far as speed goes.
