For 1:
This is not failed or canceled or anything... just temporarly delayed, I'm going to try to convince my dad to let me use the internet connection until some one says they will do it.
Two:
It was almost ready, I didn't expect my dad to reject what I was going to tell him, and I didn't know we had to open ports on the router and do all that IP stuff, and now my dad won't do it
Three:
Nothing has failed but my TC I started for LOTR a long time ago, half don't even remember that. This is the same project since May that I showed 1-2 screenshots of... I even released a file some where, not the graphics engine, but something else.

You must've seen the direction your thread was about to take, surely?

This thread is more of clarification then anything... now that I have a host, things should go back to normal.

What additional configuration of your router is required?

I don't know... we've never used routers before, its a Linksys or something like that. Also there was something about asigning static IP and stuff... in the past we just used lan cards and a hub, and everything was just fine.

If it's a Linksys router, it should come DHCP-enabled. You don't (and shouldn't, really) assign static IPs to a system (unless it's some sort of server).

A router IS a hub, except with the additional ability to deal with the internet (usually) and divide one IP between multiple computers.

Most routers require no modification for client connections. It's only if you want to have a server inside the router that you would need to [url=www.portforward.com]forward ports[/url].

Well, in the past I was able to easly host any game... now I can only join them it appears...

It doesn't really matter any more, I got some to host it now.
