I bought it for the PSP the day it came out. It's great for gaming on the go. If you're bored, and have some time to kill, just have a few rounds of Instant Action.
The PSP version doesn't have online play, only Ad-Hoc, so you better have some friends with PSPs (I don't) if you want multiplayer. It also does not have the story mode found on the consoles, but instead 3 Challenge modes, made with gaming-on-the-go in mind.
There are 3 levels from the consoles not included in the PSP version due to their size. They are Jabba's Palace, Kamino, and the Jedi Temple. Also, the space battles aren't involving. You can board the enemy ship, but the landing bay is the only place you can go.
The graphics aren't as good as the console versions, but they look better than the screenshots imply. I really don't notice the lower quality. Stormtroopers still look like stormtroopers, and that's all I need.
The controls are confusing at first, but I had them down in a day. Now, I actually prefer the PSP controls to the console.
No matter which platform you play on, there is a very special game mode you can play: Go to Instant Action, choose Mos Eisley, and the game mode Assault. This mode is an all out brawl between all the heroes and all the villains. Have fun!
