You can't look like the 50's when you all still look like a bunch of emos.
2005-11-10, 9:24 PM #4
the one person in the musical who dresses emo wasn't even there.. and if you're referring to eyeliner/makeup.. you have to wear it. and the correct term would be "emo kids." saying "emos" makes you sound like you know even less about what you're talking about.. which is very little to begin with.

heh, yeah kyle... well they're all supposed to be high school kids.. not the 20-somethings they were in the movie...

the shirts aren't tight enough for that era though... :(
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Neither are the pants.

And the hair of all gentlemen is to be greased. Preferably in a backwards direction.

Which is where the emo comment came from, captain emo hair.

it's a ****ing high school production of grease, rob.

we're not all gonna go out and buy exactly authentic 60's clothing for everyone in the show. gel works the same as grease for what we needed, and pants arent gonna be the tightest (unless you want us to wear tight pants.. which would contradict your making fun of us for being "emo") i have enough trouble dancing in normal jeans.

we get paid minimum wage, not to mention the activity fees are 110 bucks, and that doesnt cover the cost of our costumes. we're lucky most of us could borrow leather jackets from our dads.. and i found my old suit at the american legion in town.

Do it again, youre banned. Simple as that.

Youre insulting something that many people put hard work in to. Quit being a jerk.

What crawled up your *** and died? Not only was he 99% kidding, the few things he said weren't really insulting.

Also, cool Caz. Though...I can't really comment as all I've seen are pictures :p

Jim, my friend is filming all three nights from different angles, and at the end we're going to combine the best performance from each certain scene from each night into one DVD and such.. it'll be a lot more.. movie-like.. theatrical.. whatever. it'll look awesome if it turns out how im imagining.

yoshi.. it'd be really hard to sense any criticism from that(since that's how he responds to anything nowdays).. and yeah it offended me..

Haha Caz thats great. Back when I was in high school, a bunch of us did "Summer Lovin" (or wtvr) at a Talent Show. I was playing Travolta's part. Gotta luv it. hehe

Either way, you make sure you get a video of that online, I wanna see it :p

Good luck with the rest of the performances!

Dude, aren't they called the "T-Birds" in the movie?

Anyways, pretty sweet. I've been wanting to do tech for a musical like Grease, but instead, our nazi director picks these ones that no one has heard of. But yeah, that looked really fun. However, Danny kind of looks a tad scrawny. Big change from John Travolta :)

"t-birds" was a made up term used just for the movie. they'e called the "burger palace boys" cause that's where they hang out (and technically my character is a greaser, i just dont hang out with them), but yeah.. a lot of things were added in the movie version like the songs "you're the one that i want" and "grease is the word." some people were dissapointed, but you gotta remember the musical was written many years before the movie was made.
