Actually that's nothing new for me... if any of you remeber the man who fit himself through a tennis racket was born with some disorder that causes the bone to act like rubber.

She might have said disorder.
No sig.

Bone to act like rubber? Erm, you mean the bone is actually flexible? That sounds very...not possible. I'm pretty sure it has to do with being stick-skinny and having very flexible joints (perhaps genetic or a "disorder" as you mentioned).

As far as I know, there's no disorder that causes bones to act like rubber, and if any such thing does exist it's probably very crippling.

You may be thinking of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, or perhaps Marfan syndrome. These affect connective tissues.
From wikipedia's contortionist article:

Quote:
Myth: Most contortionists have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or Marfan syndrome. -- Persons with these genetic disorders do have loose muscles and hypermobile joints and are able to do amazing tricks while standing, but they don't necessarily have the strength that is required to, for example, perform backbends while balanced on their fingertips. It is easier for a strong person to gain extreme flexibility than an extremely flexible person to gain strength.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

That was odd. The best part was Santa Claus in the end.

I do believe that was possibly the grossest thing I've ever seen.
My girlfriend is REALLY flexible, but thankfuly, not to the point where she creates an asscheek on her stomach from bending so far.

Seriously, I'd like to think she's missing a bone or something in her spine, as that did NOT look like it was natural.

That's not right.
