What the hell just happened?

I live on the 8th floor of an apartment complex and there was a weird popping noise outside. My monitor had interference and reset itself and my internet connection (nonwireless) went down for a short while.

Hope it's nothing serious. Can't see anything out of the ordinary outside.

Its been known for those things to give off large amounts of EM when they break, maybe one of them went *bang* and that's what screwed up your monitor and internet. They would only be shielded against "so much" EM and after that they'd probably shut down.

Obviously, small robotic toy soldiers were attempting the wipe out a toy alien race, and this was the only way to defeat them.

someone used "Force pop" and popped someone's body parts off.
