Today I went to see Shrek 2 again, but this time I dragged my parents along. They saw and really liked the first one. But they saw the second and thought it was just "okay", like they really didn't care for it. Also, this time I saw it, it seemed a lot less funny. The reason for that? The audience! We had a crappy audience. They weren't picking up alot of the jokes because the theater was full of kids that are barely old enough to talk. So they laugh at things like "Haha, he hit a wall." or "He farted". But they don't get the movie spoof jokes, or the adult humor. When I saw Shrek 2 on opening night I remember it being so holarious because the jokes were fresh and new, (always are the first time) but also because we had a good audience. Lots of teenagers and older people. So there was A LOT LOT more laughter. That laughter seems to add to the film..I don't know why, but when a theater is full of people laughing it seems alot more funny then a silent audience. It's hard to explain, but I wish that we had a 'better audience'.
[Yes it is possible that they just thought it was OKAY, but the audience really is a big factor]

Think while it's still legal.
