Venom? In Spider-Man 3? I can't believe it! :D

Of course I know it's subjective, IMDB always is, but if this is true, great!

Actor doesn't look much like Eddie Brock though.

Learn to read.

"Plot Outline: Peter Parker/Spider-Man has his hands full when he comes up against two opponents: Sandman and something out of Spidey's nightmares...The Hob Goblin."

Topher Grace is playing Venom. And yes Venom IS in spiderman 3. Read the whole page, dur.

I see lots of stuff about Eddie Brock.

Who is venom, very correct...

But as far as I can also tell, the director thinks Venon sucks and has no definate plans of doing a Spiderman movie with Venom. Who is a lame overrated character in a lame overrated comic book anyways.

(I honestly think thats a mistake, because everything else I've come across says UHM NO.)

check some sources. its been known that topher grace was signed to be venom for some time now. its old news to me. The director disliking him as you may say isnt going to remove venom from the storyline.

It's been known since September (IIRC) that Venom and Sandman will be the villains in SM3, Venom played by Topher Grace (as mentioned) and Sandman played by Thomas Haden Church. Theres even a picture floating around of Church as Sandman.

What I'm trying to say, is that there is no indication that venom will be an integral part of the movie story line.

Sam Raimi apparently has alot more creative control than one might think.

God I hate Venom. I hope Raimi drags him through the mud.

I like Venom. He’s sort of the anti-hero. The “Knuckles” (from Sonic) of the superhero world. He really doesn’t want to kill Spider-Man, just make him look bad. Of course when trouble brews, Venom is a powerful (yet unreliable) ally to have around.

Um...yeah, maybe partially wrong on the whole anti-hero thing. Majorly wrong on the not wanting to kill Spider-Man.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

Venoms's hilarious! I'm glad they have him in the next one.

Hey has anyone heard about Carnage though?
He's pretty freaky. (The one on the left.)

I'm not sure if he's like a pure evil clone of venom or an offsping of him... lol

We've had this thread 3 times now. Soon someone will post the realization of what/who Carnage is, and then talk about that new symbiot-based comicbook based off of spiderman, yada yada.

Topher Grace is not Venom. He's Eric Forman. He will always be Eric Forman. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Venom isn't even in this movie, and it's just a comic-con convention where Topher Grace as Eric Forman is dressed as Venom and is flipping out at a comic con because spiderman and sandman are fighting through the convention. That'd make sence. His only line will be:

"Sweet! Hyde, did you see that!?"

You say that like Carnage is a Spiderman character that just got created yesterday. You really aren't that big of a Spiderman fan, are you?

Carnage kicks ***, I'm pretty sure Carnage is in a way, the offspring of Venom.

Well don't let appearances be deciding of who plays who. I mean just look at who's playing Superman in the upcoming flick. Pah.

He did a really good job in In Good Company. Not once was I reminded of Eric Forman. Same with Traffic.

Ashton Kutcher, however, will always be Micheal Kelso.

How are Spiderman's, Venom's and carnage's powers different? I think spiderman is the one with the quickest reflexes and the highest agility and that Venom is considerably stronger. Venom and Carnage have the symbiote powers which does the weird goo stretchy stuff and is weak to certain frequencies of sound (i think). Other than that I don't know much else.
