Um, then why are Nintendogs and that brain game so big for DS over in Japan? That's not really anime... And how many damn RPG's does Sony have that look anime'ish...

DS 3,528,392 > 1,995,504. They launched one month apart in Japan.
Now, with this whole record setting UK launch. True, but a month later - who was outselling who? All sources I can find (can't find the numbers though) point to DS outselling PSP.
Sony fans saying it's due to a PSP shortage in Europe! If that's true, whose fault is that. Plus, Sony announced they shipped 2.67 million units to Europe alone, but the sales don't match the shipping figures. So how's this huge shortage in the UK. Even which, their sales in the first week were like 185,000. Set a record - but isn't that huge in the world sales.
Sony stats:
"However, the system's software-to-hardware ratio leaves much to be desired, as SCE disclosed that it has shipped 19.6 million PSP games as of September, a tie ratio of less than two games per unit."
Two games per unit?
And you're saying the DS has no good games?
Clearly a biased Sony fan. There's plenty of good DS games coming out (and already out). Even most PSP fans will tell you that there's a shortage of really good PSP games. You got GTA, Lumines, and a couple others.
According to some figures, Japan is the only area that the PSP is ONLY being outsold by the DS. Other area's it's being outsold by the DS and GBA.
PSP can do more, but do I want to spend $40 to watch a movie on a portable? No. It can play music, connect to internet, etc. It can do a lot of cool stuff - however, it should focus more on producing games then being a all in one gadget.
DS is just that - a handheld gaming system. If you get past the 'shallow' attitude of better graphics = better games, then maybe you'll see why the DS is selling so well.
