Quite a while ago (possibly a year or two), someone posted a link here to a site hosting mp3s of lucasarts game music tracks that weren't available otherwise. I think it was called scumm bar or something similar. It definitely had monkey island music and KOTOR music.
Anyone recall the URL?

Surely you don't want someone to post a link that you can illegally obtain copyrighted material? That would be a shame.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I wasn't too sure if it's a violation of copyright, just trying to find a track from an old game I own. Feel free to delete this thread if it violates the rules of the forum.

EDIT: and no, that isn't it Molgrew, I've been trying to google it fairly extensively. I know better than to bug people without using google first!

Dude?
First hit is http://www.scummbar.com/

Downloads-mp3?

edit: ok, apparently, the downloads don't seem to work

But a search on their forums for "mp3s" yields http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/ as result

*sigh* no, i'm pretty sure the name of the site was a play on the name "scumm bar". I'm trying to find a track from rebel assault 2. The website had lucasarts games soundtracks.
I checked that website first when I began to search.

EDIT:Cheers, fastgamerr, that was the one! I really got the name mixed up there I guess!

For a Lot of Lucasarts games the music is stored as CD tracks. It's easy just to rip the tracks from the CD's :). I dont see how this is illegal either since you own the game which they come from.

Ok... first of all.. you can get some of the kotor music at the kotor site.... second, you're looking for a program called SCUMMER... which you could find at www.theforce.net in the production tutorials on sound effects and stuff... this is used to extract the music and save it as a .wav which can later be converted to .mp3 .ogg or whatever you want.
Nothing to see here, move along.
