Not sure if this has been talked about yet, but...

Wow. That's pretty much it. The units all are effected by ragdoll physics, pieces blow off of buildings and scatter along the ground, people go flying, things set on fire... I could go on for a while about the explosions and such, but I'd get repetitive fast.

It focuses less on the whole political aspect of the game and more on the blow the living **** out of the other team.

The home city aspect is really neat. You build a 'deck' of 'cards' that you can use as you advance ages. Some cards can only be used once (Like sending two carts that transform into outposts for instance), and others an infinite amount of times (Crates of resources). You gain XP and when you gain enough, you can activate another card. Pretty interesting if you're getting attacked, then all of a sudden a carriage carrying supplies to build a fort appears, and you build it before you're wiped out and manage to defend yourself.

You have an 'explorer' who goes around and can collect treasure, ally with indians, connect trade routes and all that stuff. He gets two sharpshooting abilities: One kills any treasure guardian in one hit (That'd be a... guardian of treasure.) the other killing any military unit other than artillery. Pretty interesting guy, that explorer.

I'm so getting this as soon as it comes out.

...The game has been out for a month or two now.

Well, uh... This is awkward.

Let's change the subject:

I have 80$(CAN). Soul Calibur 3 or Age of Empires 3?

It came out October 18th ^_^

Oh and Age of Empire III, I keep hearing from people that Soul Calibur III is nowhere near as good as II or I.

Aight, sounds good. Of course, if there's any other suggestions out there for what I should get...

I hate having spare money. It irks me quite a bit. I'm thinking maybe battlefield 2 or something.

Battlefield 2 was fun, but it has long load times and constant bugs and crashes, and slow servers and ******* camping planes to kill their own team and...yeah you know the drill. Age of Empires III sounds like your best bet right now. It's a really fun game.

God, yes to Battlefield 2

I'm not all that sure on BF2 though. The expansion is coming out soon and I'll be left in the dust without it. Also, I've heard really bad things about the bugs and community (Of course, I had BF1942 for a loooong time... I know about the community XD)

I might get resident evil 4 on the PS2. I've heard amazing things about it, but how is the replay value? Some have told me it's more of a rent.

It was buggy at release, but it's a lot better. It worth it.

Resident Evil 4 on the GC > Resident Evil 4 on the PS2.

PS2 has some new features and such, but the GC runs smoother and looks more crisp. Also, yes you could beat it in a rental, but it really is an amazing game.

Get AoE3 before I kill you.

Actually, the PS2 version reportedly experienced next to no slowdowns, though it does look a tad worse, it's very comparable to the GC version. Enough so that I'd get the PS2 version over the GC version because of the extras, seeing as how not much was 'worse' than GC version.

PS2 version has pre-rendered cut-scenes I heard, so playing with special costumes they're still in the default costumes in the cut-scenes, unlike the GC.
I had a blog. It sucked.

^ Hadn't heard that. Interesting.

Resident Evil 4 is worth $100.
