Anyone ever see this?

http://www.spiritsoftheforce.com/films/spiritsoftheforce.asp

I'm a big fan film fan, and have never seen those fan films. The first one seems to closely resemble JO (never played it, but is a lot like the story I've read). There is a link to the first movie, but school servers are so slow. The other movies are just tarilers I think. Anyone know anything about it?

EDIT: I watched some of the first one. I like the consistancy of it, and even a cameo my the ghost of Jerec!

That's the first I've seen of it. I didn't watch it because the network at work is moving really slow right now.

For me, most of the fan films that I've seen that are "serious" come off pretty lame. I pretty much only enjoy the funny/silly ones.

Btw, the subject of this thread reads: Kyle Katarn fan phlegms. :)

When I first saw the topic title my immediate reaction was: Oh another Ghost5214 (whatever those numbers are) thread.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Irony. Man, the irony hurts. I mean, it hurts bad. Why does it have to be you to say such a thing?

The first one is decent, not too bad. A better camera could've been used, and proper mixing of the music into the scene. (recording the voices seperately on more professional equipment probably would've benefited it, layering the sounds. rather than just recording them straight from the enviroment. Though, I think they did record the voices seperate atleast in some parts.)

The music selection wasn't the best. I'm torn on the dialouge, It's expected to be somewhat cheesy, some of the dialouge was starting to get good but then sucked. The Head jedi guy sucked at delivering lines, pretty much. The girl was alright. The guy who plays Kyle does a decent job at it, other than a few lines he carried the Kyle's personallity well.

Two consistancy flaws, though. Assuming this is pre-JO, Kyle would have an orange saber. The green one was destroyed, and in JO he had a blue one.
second, I couldn't help feeling that the hug was out of character for kyle. It just really wasn't believable for his character.

so it's like "lol what."

probably the two best actors in that was the guy who played kyle, and that one Jedi who was assigned to look after the comms console. A minor role but his lines (and how he delivered them) were actually pretty believable.

costumes were good, enviroments were alright. effects were good most of the time.

so overall, pretty good.

But it doesn't look anything like Kyle Katarn! Let alone sound like him. It looked more like a somewhat over weight japanese man with a teenage voice.

The guy who was looking after the console is one of the main characters of the second :D

Personally I liked the effects, and yeah, most of the dialogue sucked.. They could have used better fighting techniques as well.
