At first I thought it was some sort of a scam e-mail or something, but I don't see ANY reason for it to be a scam anywhere. HOW did I get this e-mail? I do not live in toronto, where all of the attached telephone numbers are from... it doesn't make any sense at all! TheBSG isn't a very confusable gmail addy. It's not like it's one letter off.

Hello everyone,

I am Sorry for the delay, as some of you know I was away last weekend and I couldn't get back to your emails regarding the party earlier. Attached is the updated list of names and contact information, except for Patrick and Bashir's.

As for the party, it seems like there are more people interested to do this on Thursday December 01, 2005 after Mark's class. We have half of people interested in either Sushi or anything else and the other half, everything but the sushi. In order to accommodate everyone, there were few suggestions:

Some wanted to go to a buffet restaurant and order cash bar. (Italian)

Frank was kind enough to offer us his office space to use for the party. this way, we will collect a reasonable amount of money from everyone and order catering of your choices. Those who are interested to drink wine or bear, they could bring in their own. However, this needs a team work, since we don't have anyone to wait on us, then perhaps at the end, we could help out to clean up. His office is located at Weston Road and Hwy7. There are enough cars to ride everyone there, if you don't want to drive for any reasons.

I also have an empty house in Bayviewhill, which we could use for this party too. But as I said, it's empty and only has few chairs, a dining table, only one couch and fridge and ..., but enough space for all of us. We could have music there and enough parking spaces.

Also with regards to the gift exchange, Sasha made a good suggestion: She thinks for those who likes to participate, we can buy the gifts and by end of the night, try to steal the gifts from each. We will all pick one not knowing what's inside and who it is from? According to the feed backs, more than half of you are interested in participating.

So, email me back and let me know what's good for you guys.

We have to decide by Wednesday, so we will have enough time to manage and order the foods, or perhaps just reserving a restaurant.

Regards,

Fahima
And I am sure you all know where to find me.

Anyone else ever accidently get e-mail before? Any suggestions on how I should reply?

What's your email adress? What are the odds of someone sending stuff to your email by accident?

Find out where the party is; I'll crash it.

It's also likely that its a bait email. The spammer waits for you to reply, so he knows the email address is good. Especially good for those "Known to work" email lists spam companies buy.

Sounds like quite a bit of work for no potential sales advertisement. Like, do these companies actually think people will buy more of their product by being harassed? What about those click here you're a winner adverts? HOW many people actually believe in them?

I saw someone do one of those and thought he was really gonna get a free PSP. He just kept clicking through the process. He's not too bright.

TheBSG could be a typo for TheBFG, which is a book written by Roald Dahl.

Ya never know, it could be an honest mistake. I wouldn't reply, though, in case it is a silly e-mail scam...unless you want to mess with their heads some.

You can get stuff from those offers, but you have to sign up for other things before you do.

And they require a certain number of referrels per thing, and referrels are only counted once a transaction has been completed by them. Yeah, I've seen a couple people actually get their free iPod, but I've seen quite a lot more begging people for that last referrel, lol.

Typical pyramid scheme.

I know they work, but it's such a pain. Often in the same amount of time it takes to get the referals and such, you could have worked, got paid, and just buy one.

According to my email I've been employed at a YMCA as a lifeguard in Washington for about a year. I live in Ontario, heh. I've been getting their staff email for the longest time for some reason, and they've gotten angrier and angrier at the guy I think I am because apparently I haven't been showing up for the mandatory training sessions.

Hehehe.
That painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.
