I wanna get a script for a personal project of mine, a picture gallery sort of thing similar to what web-comics use.

I need it for me to be able to upload an image and for buttons on the bottom of the site to be able to cycle through the images, one button takes you to the first image posted, the last one takes you to the latst image to be posted and buttons in-between will take you to the previous or next image.

is there a script out there for this already that i can use? or can someone make a custom one for me?

Some of that can be done with javascript I believe. Only the upload part would be done in a server-side language like perl or php.

what kind of webspace do you need? I donno what i'd be able to give in exchange for a script, I'm kinda tight on cash so I can't very well pay for the script...

I found some walrus thing online that is used for webcomics, it kinda has what i need but I don't know for sure how to work it.

I just need something that will look for an image or even be able to upload it from the computer similar to the IC or EC, much more convenient but that requires useage of the Mysql database, which i only have one of.

so yeah... i just something simple that will let me place a picture in a directory and when you want to see if you click "latest" image and it will take you to the latest pic uploaded. to see ones before it, you click the previous link, and one that jumps to the first image and one that jumps to the last...

There are tons of free PHP gallery scripts. Run a search for "php photo" or something on hotscripts.com, freshmeat.net, sf.net, php.resourceindex.com, etc. No need to program it yourself.

I tried to learn it once, but I really don't have time right now to do it, I'm in my final year of high school and the pressure is on to get an apartment and finish my portfolio for college and stuff, perhaps during the second semester of college or afterwards i'll have more free time.

the most work I have done with PHP is modfying the code for templates on phpbb forums and tweaking others code to suit my needs (credit given where due of course)

anywho, thanks for the help from those who offered it, i think i found a suitable script on a website, I just need to modify it for my needs.
