**FIRST OFF: This is an 'official' contest on the Gunz forum, with official prizes. Therefore, if you get it, please don't make any mention of the answer anywhere where someone from the gunz forum could get it and therefore ruin the integrity of the puzzle. IF you're a part of the gunz community, however (or you just joined the game or whatever), of course it's your benefit if you get it .. I'm posting this because of the high level of intelligence I've come to expect from Massassi :p**

Alright, so basically, this is for cryptographers and mathematicians.

The puzzle, clarification, and several clues are posted.

The discussion in the linked thread offers a couple of suggestions but isn't really helpful.

I don't really care for the prize but I tried to work it out for fun for about half an hour, got a couple of approaches that seemed to work, but that ended up failing to be consistent.

[edit: here's one post by someone that does help a little though to clarify:

Look at the very VERY first post. Let's read what it says about the hints/rules/w/e they are called.

"EACH NUMBER REPRESENTS A LETTER*...
...*Some exceptions, be on the lookout. Not substitution, REMEMBER!"

HMM This states that NO if 26 is an A in that one block alone, not every 26 HAS to be an A and that the numbers are CHANGED most likely through addition and subtraction relating to the grid or other boxes around it, in which they are then probably changed from the bases 0-25 or 1-26 relating to the letters A-Z.

Now two more lines no one seems to look at
"The message talks about itself.
Its mathematical."

So whatever we are encrypting is going to talk about ITSELF so it won't have MAEIT or GUNZ or ADVENTURE or QUEST or PERSPIRE or SUPERCALIFRAGULISTICEXPEALADOCIOUS, for example the message MIGHT be telling you the rule or something for each box. Has anyone ever done.. oh what 3rd grade work? The IN and OUT *BOXES*; (functions, or whatever your third grade and above teacher called it...)- well MAYBE that has some horridness in here--> since ALL math is composed of functions.

I think my friend and I will induce several drugs and then we'll sit on this puzzle for hours...
