Another "new game thread" (again not what you think)...
2005-11-26, 4:49 PM #1
I'm board right now... very board, I need a new game, preferably online. I've played HUNDREDS of games... but I want something that is more alive... meh... there is no such thing I guess...
Nothing to see here, move along.
2005-11-26, 4:53 PM #2
You could play "Grammar Nazi" and find 'board' and 'bored' different!

(sorry, but battered and bitter)

I've got no real online gaming experience since the Zone - check out our game forum I suppose...

I was feeling the same way again today, I was thinking of something along the lines of Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay though, or something with coop and dark atmosphere.

2005-11-26, 4:55 PM #5
I want a friggin online game where players are actually in a real war and go on signficant quests, not something like kill 10 trolls... and stuff like that and that they don't dissappear the next day with out a trace.

SWG Sucks, and if you use the internet, you'll have spyware.

Quit complaining and do what Spe says.

Who? and I'm not getting WoW because I don't see any bloody races that I'd like...

Plus the fact that there are no other things there that attract me... it looks like SWG with a new skin on it.
Nothing to see here, move along.
2005-11-26, 5:12 PM #10
It's completely different, SWG sucks. And the races aren't really that important, theres only one kind that I like the look of.

And Spe is Stafford.
nope.

and as a final note, you can get a free trial, so any whining is pointless, PLAY WOW AND LOVE BIG.

Pfft. Screw MMO's, what you need is some turn-based strategy goodness, ala Civilization 4.

I'm playing it right now doing a paradrop onto Liers with 30 other people. We had 50 on the last paradrop. It's not HISTORICALLY accurate, but it is pretty realistic equipment wise, and very fun. Axis rule :)

How about you get off your computer and learn the true meanings of English words or just how to spell? Fun? OF COURSE.

I am a fan of Counterstrike: Source. The maps are beautiful and extremely detailed, and the online play always seems to be a little more requiring of skill in comparison to many FPS's that one can simply pick up and play. I would also recommend Battlefield 2, although I only played the demo.

:( I can't find a working download of the WoW trial, so I can't see if it works on my compy.
I had a blog. It sucked.

What're your specs?

1.05 ghz processor
32MB GF2 MX200 (This worries me, it sometimes can't play games if it's the min. requirement)
384 mb SD RAM
I had a blog. It sucked.
2005-11-27, 11:06 AM #30
You should be fine. It'll just be choppy in the capital cities.

Choppy like, under 15 FPS? I can play anything, as long as it's above 15 fps. CS:CZ gives me between 15 - 20 and it's really playable.

Choppy like *freeze* *go* *freeze*

That's what it's like on ALL Machines though, considering 1000 or so players are in orgrimmar / ironforge at a time >_>

It will be very choppy, Zloc, but framerate isn't a very big issue in WoW. It's very much playable at 5-15 fps, whereas many shooters are not fun unless you are pulling 50+ fps.

Not definitive by any means, rather a nice collection of the good stuff from every other online game.

Really? Which Server? I have a lvl 20 on Xian.

Also, SF... be careful if you consiter SilkRoad, it is rather buggy and the comunity can be very hostile at times, but it still looks pretty good and can be fun at times, especially the caravan system.

overall though, my vote still goes for allegiance
