Episode III soundtrack missing tracks???
2005-11-27, 6:17 PM #1
Ok so my Episode III sound track disc broke, and the local Mix Up store doesn't have any more songs... any how I went through the songs that were saved on my comp by real player... and you know what? Apparently the sound track is missing the song of the Mace V.S. Sidious song... I dunno if this was in the sound track to start off with... if it is... what track?
Nothing to see here, move along.

I have all the soundtracks, except I only have the non-fanatic versions of the prequels. For the originals, I have the super-duper-all-the-music-including-previously-unreleased-music-that-was-in-JK-anyway versions.
I mention all of that because the prequel soundtracks have the tracks out of order, and they don't include all the music from the movies.

Anyway, to your question: There is not a track with a name having anything to do with Mace v. Sidious. The best bet is track #4: Anakin's Betrayal or #10: Anakin's Dark Deeds. It's been quite a while since I've listened to it, so I don't know which one.

That and it's sorta hard to pack a 2+ hour movie soundtrack onto a 75 minute CD without losing... like... half of it.

The Mace vs. Sidious cue is not on the soundtrack. Other tracks not included on the Episode III soundtrack are an additional cue during the Opera scene, an instrumental version of "Grievous Speaks to Lord Sidious," with no vocals, and an alternate choral version of the Qui-Gon's funeral cue - which was used for Padme's funeral until the end credits.

The only complete Prequel soundtrack is The Phantom Menace: Ultimate Edition.

Yeah, there were lots of versions of soundtracks for the Original Trilogy as well that didnt include certain songs... Until they came out with the 2 disc sets. There will probably eventually be a complete 2+ disc soundtrack for RotS.

That sucks.... also during the mustafar scene... there is a great part of the duel which is not in the ANI VS OBI or Battle of the Heroes songs.... its when they are on the arm and the lava jumps out and falls on it, followed by the arm following into the lava. Fortunately, in the DVD, on the documentary in "Within a Minute" on the music section you can hear it with no sound effects or anything... I recorded that and now hear it on my comp frequently... I kinda wished they would have made a disc that had all the songs on it that would play from the dvd player... it would have been awesome.
Also in the episode II trailer, the one titled "Clone War", where yoda says "... in grave danger you are" there is a GREAT piece of music played... I kinda wish they would have ATLEAST put it in the MOVIE...
Nothing to see here, move along.

There's more music missing from the soundtrack. For example, the music that plays when Anakin fights Dooku (not really interesting, but still).

I sure hope a special edition of the OST will be released some day.

yes, but sometimes movie trailer music is stock, just look at the F4 trialer and the King Kong trailer. that little bit of chorus has been appearing a lot this year, even on tv advertisments.
