Threads, Posts, and You. (Now with signature rule bonus!)

I want to say a few things regarding posting threads and posting in threads and a rather disturbing trend seems to be occuring.

Posting threads:
If you are going to post a thread, have substance to it. Make a thread where we can all participate in the discussion in some fashion. Make a thread where it appeals to the masses. When you make a thread think: "Will this thread I'm posting contribute to the Massassi Forum Community in a positive manner? Will this thread bring interest to all who click it?" If you cannot answer these questions truthfully, don't post the thread. We want threads to be enjoyable and beneficial for all

In threads:
This here generally sums up what you should do and not do in threads. But let me just summarize. If you don't like the content of the thread, don't post!. If a user's thread is devoid of content to your liking, just ignore it. You don't have to post in the thread. It's not worth it to come up with a post that basically attacks the user, be it funny or not. It might have been funny for that one moment, but I'm not sure it's going to be funny when you find out that you cannot post anymore. Again, with the spiel about threads, make this place enjoyable for all. Someone pisses you off, bite tongue or duke it out in PMs/IM.

That is all.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

I'd like to remind everyone that we do have an ignore function. Its in the User CP, under "Miscellaneous" on the menu on the left, listed as Buddy/Ignore Lists. If you find someone to be obnoxious, simply place them on your ignore list, and you wont have to read any posts by them ever again.

"I dont like using the ignore function" will not be considered a valid excuse when you are caught repeatedly attacking/flaming any other members of the community.

Regarding Signatures
It has come to our attention that colorful signatures are annoying, and we would appreciate it if everyone could stick to the default text color. For emphasis, please consider more attractive alternatives such as bold, italic, or underline.
