Yeah, well, to cut a long story short, I'm going to be going to the U.K. this summer. In fact, this Thursday, June 3 (the day after school ends for me), to be precise. So Martyn, Jagged Conscience, TheJKWhoSaysNi, Mavispoo, and anyone else from the jolly 'ol U.K., perhaps you could tell me whereabouts you live and maybe even post a pic (0_o), so if I see you in a crowd of people or something equally unlikely I can say "Hey, I know you"!

Yeah, so you might not feel so inclined, but I'd still just like to get a headcount of who's around in the U.K. this summer. Just for fun. Don't worry, I'm not a stalker (in fact I'm only 15), but It'd just be fun to see some people. Yeah, so, post away! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

I'll being all around the Southern part of England (including London, but I may be heading up North a fair ways).

(oh, and for a bit of personal history, I was born in Suffolk in '88, moved to the U.S. (Texas) in '91, I had a Texan speech therapist, I then moved to North Carolina in '02, and I still have an English accent. It's pretty far out. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] )

I'm actually in london right now, unfortunately I am leaving the same day you are coming. Definately visit the Imperial War musuem, also take the time to walk around Leicester Square and see a few shows and eat at the different cafes. The Tower of London is also a must to visit, even if you arent very big on touristy attractions. If you get a chance, take a train to paris for a few days.

Is that you? I checked th name of the pic, and it said "roger", so I'm wondering if the two match up. Anyway, cool. I need to check up on my English geography to see where Durham is (this is what you get for living in the U.S. for 7/8ths of your life! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] ).

Hey, I like your sig Sats! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] I'm not sure if were going near Nottingham.

Setty, we're not spending a long time in London, but we'll probably do some sight-seeing there. I prefer the countryside, personally. I've been to the Tower of London in the past though, it was great. Our timing was perfect, we got to see Tower BRidge raise to le ta ship go by underneath!

Yeah that's me - they decided that because of my unpronouncable surname that I needed a new one. And a new first name too for good measure... my show t-shirt even has ROGER emblazened on the back of it!

I am (in their eyes) offically Roger A. Peasant. Middle name undisclosed. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/redface.gif]

Sorry it took me so long to update (assuming anyone's still interested), here's the exact layout of our trip.

1) We first arrive at Gatwick airport, then we drive down to Hampton Court Palace for the afternoon (that's where Henry VIII lived).

2) Next, we go to Fleet, which is west of London, to meet some friends. We should be making a day trip into London on Saturday with them.

3)On Monday, I think, we leave for Bournemouth (on the coast) to see my Grandparents. On the Way there, we may stop off in Salisbury (yes, I know how to pronounce it! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] ). We'll make several day trips from there to placesl ike the shipyards where Nelson's ship was built, and Beaulah, or however it's spelt.

4) Then on Friday we head up North a ways (past Stratford) and we may be stopping to see Shakespeare's house. We then arrive to visit some more friends in Leicester (Don't worry, I know how to pronounce that as well! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif] ) for day. This is as far north as we go.

5) We head down to northern London (near Watford) for a day to visit yet some more friends.

6) Finally, we head down to Brighton for a couple of days for just abit of family time. THis was my Dad's hometown. Whilst here, we'll walk along the beaches and piers and also visit Brighton PAvilion.

Well, that about covers it. Another thing I'm looking forward to is English food. I love McVitties, cru, pets, Jaffa vakes, all the good candy, and gammon steak. No free refills though. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] We're so spoiled in America. I really look forward to pub lunches as well! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Also, I'll work out other people's location as to where I am visiting. Conscience, maybe you're joking, but in you post you make it sound like I could come visit you or something, lol. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Did I make it sound like you could come visit me? Oh well, apparently I can actually go out tomorrow in the day but I'm wanted back in the evening, so theoretically I could catch a train up to London town to meet you if you wanted. I don't think I'm doing much on Saturday that I couldn't skip so I could probably come up then if you fancy that. Or I could just not meet you and you could enjoy London on your own...

Remember to try some currys, kebabs, fish and chips (french fries, not potato chips that you have, we call them crisps). Make sure you have an adult with you if you want pub lunch. Oh and bring me Mountain Dew!! Please, I'll pay you for it. I just want to try it, we're deprived here.

(You get free refills in Pizza Hut and in Nandos, but I can't remember any other places and you have those in the USA anyway)

Hey, thanks a bunch for the enthusiastic responses, it makes me really happy to know someone would actually like to meet me. The problem is, this is a family trip and I think my Dad and sister would be pretty much creeped out if they knew I was going to meet some people I've been talking to on a forum for a long time. 0_o [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I personally would love to see some fellow Brit Massassians, I just don't thonk my folks would feel to inclined. However... if we arranged some place to see each other (even though it's extremely unlikely) I could possibly see one or two of you guys. If I was making this trip by myself, I'd be all for it, trust me. But I'm sure you guys have plenty of parents that go, "Hey, what's that weird, green site you're always talking about and visiting?" [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

Jagged, when I'm in London, some friends (they live in Fleet, to the west a bit) are taking us round and about, so I'm not sure exactly where we'd be going. However, my Dad talked about us maybe going to the London Eye. It's this big ferris Wheel I think, where you can see a high-up view of London from. You probably know about it. Well, we'd be going for almost definate on Saturday, so who knows, maybe I'd see you there. Tell me if you plan on coming. I think I know what you look like, I recall your "Am I ugly?" thread bakc in early 2003, although you're really a very good looking chap. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

TheJKWhoSaysNi, we're only staying near Watford for a few hours with some friends, so I'm sorry I won't be able to see you. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

Ruthy, thanks for the Email! I'll reply to that as well, and though I'd love to meet a Massassian legend such as youreself, I also think it might be hard. I'll be staying with my Grandparents in Bournemouth, to be precise in West Parley. They'd be really creeped out, and I don't realy want to tie up my phone. I hope you understand. I think they live in a retired community, Ferndown I vaguely recall. If by any chance you happen to be the house next door to there's, that'd be a really creepy coincidence. 0_o Otherwise, it'd probably be pretty out of your way to see me. I'm only 15 anyway, you're probably to cool for me. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif] Btw, I think Stargate is awesome, way to go for making something that fantastic for Jedi Knight. You rock!

Oh, and lucky, don't worry, I'm well-versed in the ways of English culture. I know about crisps, chips, lorries, lous, Cockney, knickers and pants! [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif] I consider myself to be British, even though I only lived there the very first few years of my life. Don't forget, I still have an accent, and I drive people crazy over here by refering to my you-know-whats as Trousers! lol

In case anyone wants to get a thrill out of stalking me, here's my picture, lol

Seriously though, Ruthy or Jagged, if you're interested in seeing me, this is what I look like. I have your guys pictures, so that doubles our chances of picking one another out of the crowd! lol

Since you guys are five hours ahead ( I reckon it's about quarter to 3 in the morning), you probably won't get this til tomoroow, in which case I'll already have left for the airport, so this is [probably] my last post (well, I might as well stay up a bit later, it's taken me ages just to type this!)

I had a haircut recently, so I haven't posted in the post your pic thread, but you can dig up any other post your pic thread and there'll be at least 5 pics of me. I may come up on Saturday but I've got karate which goes on 'til like 4 so I can't come if I do that. Meh. Tell you what, if you bring Dew I'll come.
