I think it's very useful in showing other forum members examples of inappropriate behavior, provided it contains links to the post that caused the ban. Especially since flaming newbies has become a national passtime and it's not always clear when you're crossing the line.

Anyway, I like the concept, though I must say I didn't really think Cavey deserved to be banned for his comment. Seemed to me like he was just bantering...

But then, I didn't see the picture he posted, and I guess it was only one day anyway, so it's not that big a deal.

Yeah, I like public ban lists. I want to know who/what/when/where/why people aren't here, and what they did. And I just take satisfaction in knowing that some people are getting banned for doing something stupid.
