The First Annual Great Massassian Christmas Card Send

A good chunk of the cards have been written, and will be put into the mail tomorrow. I bought a pack of cards and a pack of stamps, and noticed I will have left over materials, so anyone else who wishes to be a part of the send (internationals, too, I have a few more int'l stamps) can send me a PM in this format:

Alias
Real Name
Street Address
City, State, Zip
Nation (in not US)

Deadline is tomorrow evening/Friday morning, though. Finals next week. :(

Also, does anyone happen to know the delivery time for mail going from the US to the UK/Europe?

I am anxiously awaiting the look on my mom and/or dad's face when that card arrives, and they get extremely pissed off at me. It's gonna be awesome.

Then again, they may not care. We'll see.

:p

Didn't we want to do this a few months ago, but it fell through? I like a lot of you, but frankly, there are some people I just don't care to give my address to.

I don't think it fell through. I need to get cracking on that though. I plan to have mine out by next week or so.

OK, I dropped all the US-bound cards into the mail a few moments ago. I have one US stamp left. :)

I am going to the post office today or tomorrow to get the envelopes wighed and labeled for international shipping. The USPS website says int'ls to Canada, UK, and Hugary (didn't forget you, Max) will take 4-7 days to arrive--easily in time for Christmas. It will cost me about 2 bucks per int'l card. Yikes.

Anybody in the UK who wants one PM me with your details...

I have a few Christmas cards myself to send out.

[edit] only costs people in the UK 68p to send a letter to the US, beens I'm going home for christmas i'm sure my mum won't mind me using the money I have for washing to pay for stamps instead. whats a few weeks extra washing... :p [/edit]

I just found out that it's a dollar cheaper to mail a postcard to Europe and Canada than a proper folded card in an envelope, so (because I am broke) I have gotten the normal cards and cut them in half, to turn them into postcards. :) They're still coming, though, but they may not look quite right.

Well, I went down to the postal office today, and waited in line for a long time. When it was finally my turn, they told me I had to fill out a bunch of forms to get my mail sent, pay a bunch of BS fees, and have an international approved postcard. Ugh. I guess this means no international cards this year. Sorry guys.

Those of you who have recieved your cards, though, scan them and post them :) (edit out the bad stuff I wrote/drew, though).

Crapsticks, was I supposed to send someone something? I just got one from ]-[ but I have no private messages in my inbox from him telling me who to send a card to. :(
2005-12-05, 6:39 PM #16
No, this isn't a card exchange or anything like that. Basically, it's me sending cards to anyone who wanted one.

:D Thanks for the card, my mom asked me who I knew in Cali, I denied knowing anyone and she mentioned it may have been one of my "Internet friends" and I denied it. Opened it up, and saw "Zloc- (blah blah)" and told her "Oh, ok. It is.)

Nice card, stuck it on my wall.
