This year I bought:

2005FPW (20.1 in wide-screen LCD, 600:1 contrast ratio, 16ms response time, 1680x1050) - 400$ (+ ~ 40$ in tax. )

Logitech Z-5500's: 5.1 500W RMS speaker system - 200$

160GB Seagate HDD - 10$

And for Chirstmas, A's in all subjects and A+ certification, Dad's going to buy me a video card. So for 299$ I'm getting a:

- 7800 GT

- 600W SLI ready PSU

- COD 2

I'll have to buy myself a new MoBo now though.

Anyway post your deals and purchases this year! Anyone get anything good on black Friday?

No, it was clever exploitation of price matching, sales, and rebate offers.

Do it all the time.

Segate 7200 RPM, 8MB cache. Best Buy offered a rebate, and so did Segate. I didn't really need the extra space, but a 10 dollar 160GB HDD was a special form of awesome I just couldn't resist.

Hey, whadda you know, I got one of those recently too. Probably got mine on the same deal as you did, as it was about $400 + tax. Wanna hear the kicker though? A couple of days ago they were going for $330, heh. They're 12ms by the way, not 16. Love mine to death though.

Haven't actually bought much more than that lately though... Uhh... Bought a keg yesterday, does that count as a major purchase? haha
