My dad and I have been getting into Skype the past few days... I remember a few of you have it.

My father and I just got finished conference calling DJ Yoshi! It was awesome, but strange to be able to put a voice to the name..

It's a VoIP program that lets you IM, call other users of the program, and phone people on a landline (for a price) unless your university IT department is full of jerkwads who block all the ports so it can't connect.

I've mainly used it for co-DJ'ing over Shoutcast. Only downside is the half-second echo that only the co-anchor hears.

I would use the program, maybe, but I don't think it would work well as my roommate is unable to be quiet for more than 10 seconds at a time. That, and if he hears you talk, he tries to talk back.

Me, MB, Emon, Grismath, Yecti, and Jedigandalf just got done with a conference. Let's just say it was the most fun I've had in a long time--and lasted a good 10 hours. Excellent stuff.
