It bothers me that just looking at that picture caused Lycos to try and put a cookie on my computer.

And post how your desktop feels. I eliminated the task-bar and menu-bar (both are obsolete features). Instead, I use right click for my apps, (see screen), middle click to view / switch workstations, and I allow the mouse to switch workstations by dragging it off to the side. I also use lazy focus (just moving the mouse over a window selects it) If anybody is wondering what "Gorilla" is, it is a supurb GTK2 theme. Screenshots here.

The end result is a much simpler and more relaxed feeling without the extra clutter. As many of you know, I am a minimalist who hates clutter found in KDE and PERL and appreciates elegance and simplicity found in XFCE4 and Python. (Hehe, sorry GBK, no cheap-shot intended, just poking fun here [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif])

HOW COME JEDI KNIGHT AND ONE MUST FALL AREN'T ON YOUR GAMES MENU?!?!?!

for(i = 0; i < 00; i = i + 1) Print("massassi is good");
PrintInt(i); //print the integer value of infinity

I have a whole bunch of other games inside Point2Play that aren't on that menu.

I do have JK and JED (yes, JED runs on linux), but I admit to not owning One Must Fall.

It actually does, just not fast very fast... in addition to the HUD being messed up. I see no reason to run it in 3d accel. mode unless there are 16 bit mats.

Well, so long as you have at least one. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/wink.gif]

One Must Fall 2097 is freeware btw, so any time you happen to feel like trying it out...

(note, this is the desktop I use at school, but I might keep it on this one too)

Ugh, side-scrolling.

The toolbar at the top is set to Auto-Hide, and eliminates any need for the Start Menu.

sadly, I'm not sure if that's a good idea yet, since it's all my parents' stuff, and they still haven't transferred all their junk to their Dell. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

The panel on the bottom right hides with that arrow button in the right corner, and windows can overlap it. It contains launch buttons for the apps I use most (Fireyiff, konsole, Juk, X-Chat, Gaim, etc). Taskbar and system tray are along the top.

Only thing that's changed on it since the 29th is the Halo 2 countdown timer I added under my system meter (I know, I'm such a loser) and a few extra icons I need to clean up.

If anyone wants a copy of the wallpaper shown there that I made, speak up and I'll throw the links up here. I have it in three colors Red, Green and Blue, all with or without text.
