It is my year 12 formal tonight.

Baicly, a school formal is the australian equivilant of the prom, except there is less emphasis on getting a date, and more emphasis on being with your friends, having a fancy dinner and then have sone danceing.

I had my straightened yesterday for the even tonight. It realy shows just how long it is. So, just give me vibes for a nice night.

To make this legal, post your own prom/formal experiances.

good luck! *vibes*

My prom was great fun. I danced with all my female, kicked some jerk my friend was with in the shin, and saw three of the most popular girls walk up to talk to each other only to find all of them were wearing the same dress (the looks were priceless.) The after party kind of sucked though. :/

prom ruled. a lot of grinding, dear lord. you couldnt tell if it was prom, or if we were all clubbing. that and the fact that my date was a hottie and was the one who asked me to prom... it was pretty awesome.

definately gonna have fun this year.

My formal was awesome. Free booze - what a night.

Also the formal was on a Friday night and my birthday was on the Saturday. Yeah that whole weekend is kind of a blur.

I'm not going to my prom. If I did, I'd sit there, drink overpriced drinks and get mocked for a few hours.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

The formal was cool. The meal and the drinks (all non-alchoholic) were included with the money we paid for the ticket. The music had some cools songs like YMCA, The greece medly dance thing (dont know its actual name) and other cool songs.

After the formal, we went to the after party at a nightclub. The nightclub has two sections, the upstairs was were the underage people had to stay, but the downstairs area was able to be acessed by those 18 and over (drinking age in Australia is 18, if you did not know).

So all in all, it was a good night.

I will try and get a photo of me with my hair done and in my suit when i get the pictures off the digital camera.

I never went to a few dances/formals, but never the prom. The afterparty was fun though.
