Your thoughts? Favourites? How your country might go?

Well being Australian, we have one of the toughest draws. Brazil, Japan and Croatia ain't exactly easy teams. So we'll probably die in the group stage.

Shoot, the US got Italy and the Czech Republic. That's rough.

Guess whether Finland made it to the world cup, once again. Come on, guess.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

I'm almost tempted to put $10 on Australia to beat Brazil. Probably get like 100-1 odds.

It's soccer in my parts, but: shoes = boots, practice = training, and the field = pitch.

I'm glad to see Poland got in, though they probably won't make it past the first round. I honestly don't know who to support at this, but I know I've begun to get World Cup Fever again.

I thought the title of the thread meant 2 teams tied in the world cup chamionship. I was going to laugh like "hahah, there is no world champion!"

but alas my moment must wait.

Woh, I wonder how the German team will play, they were quite bad lately, but at least they have the home field advantage :)

That's always a huge boost. Look at what South Korea did is 2002 and France in 1998. Heck, the US making it past the group stage wouldn't have happened in 1994 if it had been anywhere else.

If we get through we play the winner of group A, which most likely mean ze Germans.

If they're back on form that'll be tough, but first we have to overcome the Swedes who've been a thorn in our sides for years.

It shall be interessant.
2005-12-10, 4:07 AM #20
Yeah, group C is probably the hardest group to pick the two qualifiers from. Argentina and Netherlands seem to be the favourites in the group, however Ivory Coast and Serbia & Montenegro were impressively strong in their qualifying matches regardless of ranking (41st and 47th respectively).

Germany will have home turf advantage and probably qualify in their group.
2005-12-10, 4:18 AM #21
Netherlands will win C.

Shuddup. :(

Ugh, and I hoped this would go unnoticed.
If any of you have seen the show: Not all Germans are like this!
We are capable of delivering entertainment. Really.
Well, it has to be well ordered and structurised entertainment, but we can deliver it.
Because, you know, noone likes a good laugh more than we do. Except perhaps for the French. And the English, but they don't count.
Now that I think about it everyone likes to laugh more than we do.
But that doesn't excuse the ****ty show we delivered.

But be assured, that our World Domin^H^H^H^H^HCup will be much better.
Sorry for the lousy German
