This game needs more publicity.

Enemy Territory was originally concieved as an expansion pack for Return to Castle Wolfenstein. It ended up being released as a free stand alone download and it's unique team based gameplay drew many in (I know some massassians still play it too).
Quake Wars is the "sequel" to the original. Built on the Doom 3 engine it offers epic outdoor environments and so called "realistic shadow and foilage effects." When a player actually goes prone in tall grass or hides in the shadows he becomes very hard to see, despite how the graphics are scaled.
The outdoor maps are also one giant 6gb texture. The so called mega texture is supposedly stored in only 8mb of video memory. The new technology developed by iD and Spalsh Damage means there will be no repeats and no tiling and there will be no distance fog what-so-ever. You'll be able to see clear across the map.
The game will also provide automatic objectives. If a scout spots an enemy base and discovers something that needs to be destroyed other players will automatically be notified. This provides a sense of "working as a team but without all the work." Different classes also have different abilities, the Field Ops can deploy radar relays and AA guns and call in artillary strikes, the Engineer can repair vehicals etc.
Both sides, Strogg and Human, are suppsosed to play vastly different. Rather than each side having a scout unit, a medic unit (see Battlefield 1942) they will have different types of classes. The Strogg also don't have traditional hitpoints and ammo packs. Unlike the human forces they use "Stroyent" which is gathered from dead Human players.
So who will you play as?
