These threads only work for songs that don't suck and have very catchy, anthem-like lyrics. I.e. nothing almost any artist in the past 10 years has done. Including Green Day.

Amen. It's a ridiculous label in the first place, and although I acknowledge that the meanings of words can change over time, it is still so overused.

Kirby's post wasn't stupid. It was very extremely correct.

And this song is emo. The term is thrown around alot, but this song fits the discription.

It's funny because I know at least half of you guys are just saying you like Bohemian Rhapsody so that you'll look "cool". Because it's absolutely AMAZING that people from all over the world could have the EXACT SAME taste in music... what a coincidence :rolleyes:

God forbid that I don't like all the same songs you do (see, kiddies, I've formed MY OWN OPINION. You'll learn how to do that when you're older).

Kind of hypocritical to say you don't like a song because you have your won opinion yet other people are jsut trying to be cool because they like a song you don't that lots of other people happen to like.

I <3 Green Day, I just also happen to BIGBIG<3 Queen.

In fact, I own every Green Day album from Kerplunk onwards (Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, [skipped international superhits], American Idiot, Bullet in a Bible, but I also own about 10 or 12 Queen albums.

Greenday may have started out more punk than not, but now they are most definitely emo, if only for the way they dress (though it's not just the way they dress). And I'm talking new pop-emo, not manageable old hardcore-emo.

And then they have to go and have really catchy chords for American Idiot! GRR

We should definitely do "Stairway to Heaven" one of these days. "Bohemian Rhapsody" is overrated.

there is no stairway to heaven... it was replaced by an esklater in 2000. then in early 2005 people complained about the width of the rails, so thay added an elivator in march of this year.
