Hehe, I actually quite liked that. I mean the point it gave; seriously people, stop messing around with Christmas! I happen to be a Christian, but that doesn't mean I don't want to see Santa Claus or a nativity in the same store. Why does everything have to be so exclusive? If people want Hanukkah, give them Hanukkah, if they want Kwanza, give them Kwanza, if Christmas, then for the love of all things good, give it to them!

People seem to be in confusion as to what "tolerance" means. Tolerance does NOT mean strip everyone of all the traditions they know and love because it might offend a minority. No, tolerance means allowing everyone to do something in their own way, and either appreciating what they do for it's worth, or just simply leaving well enough alone. People become far too worked up about an alleged "threat to our rights" and far too forgetful of a friendly and well-meaning tradition. :)

And yet nobody listens when we complain about being offended by their shear stupidity

I'm about as athiest as they come and I don't give a damn about how people celebrate christmas. Infact I'll probably celebrate it with my own family someday exactly as I do now, because it's a nice tradition. Mellow the **** out people.

Exactly. Just because I don't believe in God doesn't mean I don't enjoy all the Christmas traditions. I think Jesus' story is still important enough to tell for the moral basis and whatnot. And heck, if you want to tell a good Hanukah or Kwanza story, go right ahead. I'll listen and enjoy it too.

whew... i couldnt have said it better than the squirl! i almost got fired over an incident(sp) concerning the word "christmas" i asked a customer where i worked if they had any plans for christmas, now she was wearing a red sweater with a little angel playing a trumpet pinned to it so i figured i was pretty safe that i wasnt going to offend her by saying "christmas", but nooooo... she immediatly looks all flustered and says "you really should say "hollidays", " i got rather fed up with it all and said "if you dont like it then YOU call it the hollidays! ill call it what ever the hell i want!" needless to say i got a rather lengthy "talking to" from my manager...

all i have to say is P.O.O.P... People Offended by Offended People.
Welcome to the douchebag club. We'd give you some cookies, but some douche ate all of them. -Rob

If the shear stupidity you're referring to involves Christians, than don't worry, I'm not that kind of Christian. :)

Or something like that. So true, even if those weren't the exact words.

I was referring to the people that are "offended" by any mention of something they don't believe in, screaming for tolerance when they in fact are the most intolerant people on this earth

I accidentally wished a Jewish girl a Merry Christmas last Friday. Never a good idea.

"Fine, keep pissing Santa off. Just means more presents for me!" heheh

Seriously though, it's 100% true. And it seems like Christianity is the main target. You don't hear **** about Hahnakuh or whatever, but oh GOD FORBID the school put up a Christmas tree. There is no ****ing way these people are offended by that, they just are trying to make trouble.

Hear about the Florida county that has some ******* trying to take the cross off the front lawn of a county court house, WHEN NO ONE SUPPORTS HIM!? I can almost guarantee it's gonna get taken down, and he's the only one that wants it.

If it offends you, don't look at it. America is far too censored as is, we don't need holidays taken out of the public.

Oh, and I love "I will press"

OK, watching it again..how hypocritic can you get? "Be tolerant of others' beliefs, children" "Miss Kat, can I trade Christmas gifts with the rest of the class?" "No, that's religion."

How can you take Christmas songs out of a holiday play, by the way? SING ABOUT THE SNOW?!
I had a blog. It sucked.

I have trouble understanding that little squirrel. But what I can understand is pretty much true.
