ReT's hacked a number of accounts. Make sure your passwords are alphanumeric and symbolic, and that you don't use one password for everything. We've also set the channel to invite-only.

Please note that this applies to both the forums and the IRC chatroom.

To change your password on IRC, use this command:
/msg nickserv set password [newpassword]

To change your password on the forums, go to Edit E-Mail and Password in the User CP, or simply click the following link:

Erm, in the announcement, you need to state that this is for #Massassi, not the forums.

(Unless it is the forums too?)

Some people may be using the same password on both the IRC server and the forums. Earlier, ReT hijacked an account on IRC, and then hijacked the same user's account on the forums as well. So yes, both your orum and chat passwords may need to be changed.

I just hope he doesn't get an admin's account.

all I have to say is, look at the kierran quote in my sig. It is now even more relevant.

why did he get so ****ed off with us? wha did we ever do to him. I realy think we may eventaly need to file a complaint with authorities, especialy if his ISP doesnt do anything.

just my 2 minimum usable amounts of any curencey(sp?).

If I can get the fugger to email me back, and I can get an IP on him somehow, I'm stayin on the phone all day with Comcast to get his service revoked. ******* got my IRC password AND my MSN password. Did it to a couple of other #jkhub'ers too. :mad: :mad: :mad:

can't we set up another channel (#massassi2 or something) with a couple of #massassi admins sat in it so that people can come in and /notice whoever's there to ask for an invite?

failing that, there are usually a few #massassi admins hanging around in #teapot if you're stuck for an invite. :)

for some reason /names doesn't seem to work on holonet so we can't see who's in #massassi unless we're in it. There is a #massassi2... and a #notmassassi and a #massassi.eu. Interesting. :p
