Well ,the 100 years of film awards AFI is awarding is almost over. A few more catergories and it will be complete. To those who think Star Wars is an inferior movie, let's just see what the AFI thinks so far....

Best Film Score: #1
Best Movie Quote: #8 ("May the Force be with you.")
Best Villain: #3 (Darth Vader)
Best Hero: #14 (Han Solo)
Best Hero: #37 (Obi-Wan Kenobi)
Best Thrill: #27

Thought you all might like to know.

Yes, I bit a lot of people on a Star Wars fansite hate it.

How in the world did it win best score? I mean, it's definately not a bad score, but I wouldn't be it at number one.

The score to Episode IV won that one. That has always been the classic number one filmscore, in almost every ranking so far... no big surprise actually.

Who beat out Darth Vader as better villians?

From what I remember, Vader was only second to Hannibal Lector.

Yeah, when I saw the AFI Villans special, Hannibal was #1, Vader was #2, and #3 was the bad guy from To Kill A Mockingbird

Empire clearly has the best score of all 6 films.

Empire was definitely good, but Revenge of the Sith might have it beat.

As far as villians go, Max Zorin > Vader > your mom > etc.

Fourthed that the best film score of the movies was ESB.

I don't think being ranked #37 is a great honor.

Where can we find these awards? My minimal googling and browsing has been fruitless.

I agree

I also think its annoying when people respond with things like "no, thats not true" or something when it is clearly a matter of opinion, you dont have to be an *** to give your opinion

Agreed. I don't think RotS is better than Empire (but Empire's not my favorite anyways), but we're discussing the issue of a score.

Deciding which is better is an opinion for everyone, not something to refute

And whats funny is that in NONE of the movies, is Hannibal Lecter the bad guy. Merely an antagonist. In each film/book there is someone else who is the primary bad guy and Hannibal is merely the "tool" used to capture the bad guy.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.
