How much do you spend on xmas gifts?

And waht si the max you have ever spent?

My mom, and dad spent an excess of 10,000 two years ago.. This year I think they are trying to beat that mark..

I dont know why people need to spend so much, but stil... This time of year begs this question.

The most I myself ever spent on one person was 400 on my girlfriend last year.. This year I've already spent that much on her and I aint done yet.

Usually $25-40 on each my mom, my dad, and my sister.

We just did a huge renovation and addition on our house, coming to a total of about $250,000, and my room is going to be finished on christmas eve, so that'll be the best christmas present (I've been living in the guest room for 3 months). And the $4000 entertainment system we're getting is for all of us, but I'll get the most use out of it (Think of the fun I can have with a 42" Plasma TV!)

Usually will spend between $50-200 for each family member.

My dad though just bought himself a new 2006 Corvette for like $50,000+ for Christmas. :(

About $100, divided over my dad, mom, and sis. I don't give much, and I don't expect much.

Well, about $100 for my GF, if you count our tickets to Phantom of the Opera. *kicks Ticketmaster and the stupid fees*

I'm spending about $140 total. I just don't have teh money to spend more. if i had the funds i would be spending ~200 on my daugher instead of the $45 I have actually spent. But I am trying to save up for a car seat for her so that the visits I take out there will be easier.

depends on my financial situation... This year I spent roughly $150 to $200. Normally, I'd spend $200 to $300.

$2 for packs of gum.

One for my parents, one for my brother.

.......
Ok fine, seriously:
$200 PSP that broke and I repaired, I'm giving my brother my extra one with the original box and packaging.
Parents paid for GTA:LCS for him.

$40 guitar center gift certificate for my dad.

$20 DVD: Cinderella man - for my mom. She really liked the movie, and her christmas list basically asks for clothes that my dad bought for her already anyway.

£10,000.... I'm kinda lost for words

The only person I'm buying for this year is my mum, and I've spent probably about £80. The two of us will get a joint present for my little sister, but not til January as I won't see her til then. My close friends and I will go out for a meal together when we're all feeling reasonably financially stable (probably around 2008).

£20 on brother
£10 nephew and niece (they are only 2 at the moment)
£15-20 each on mum and dad
£10 on grandparents
~ £40 on girlfriend
£10 on girlfriends parents (chocolates)

averages out at just over £100.

My family on the whole don't really splash out at christmas, (auntie and uncle not included, they are just mad at christmas :p) we normally just get stuff when we want it at anytime of the year, hence when we come to christmas there isn't that much we actually want or would like.

we do get together a lot at christmas though and eat and drink lots, which is more fun :D between christmas and new year, its virtually a constant pig out session.
