OH DEAR GOD!!!!!!

Actually, "She Bangs" is probably the best I've heard him sing... which is sad.

As a singer, I find his voice offensive.

You just now found out he has a CD? Wow...Personally, while I find it "only in America" stuff, I congratulate him. The guy just found a way to pay for the rest of his college, and, if he does his cards right, a whole lot more.

I love this country. People with no talent make money off people who can't recognize talent, while plenty of good unsigned artists make barely anything.

God bless America.

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">Words cannot express how much I appreciate what Mr. Hung has done for me. His words raise the spirit, his voice is pure magic, lifting the listener up to a higher plane. I listen to William's music and I believe I can fly (just as he sings in the song "I Believe I can Fly")

It is truly inspiring to have a young man who believes in himself really make it, thumbing his nose at critics who say that to make it you have to have "the look" or a "hot body" or "some talent" or "the ability to carry a tune". And you know what's really great? He not only believes in himself, he believes in EVERY ONE OF US! You can hear that honesty in one of the best songs on the CD "William Hung Words of Gratitude", the opening song, in which he connects with the listener with the lyrics "... [and] I wish all of you the best of luck in whatever you choose to do with your lives". (Here, he actually takes a big chance in introducing a "spoken word" song, in which he succeeds magnificently.)

Congratulations William. Let us hope this is the beginning of a long long career in musical magic and life-affirming wisdom.

Kurt Nilsen wasn't that bad, but he totally wasn't the best at the World Idol thing. I liked the Pan-Arab woman.

Using reasons besides "he sucks!" and "he has no talent!".

NO. For the following reasons.

1) I don't wish to make my headphones or speakers die from the burden of outputting something THAT bad.
2) I'd like to retain my sanity
3) I'd like to retain my hearing
4) I don't sing at ALL and I know for a fact I'm better than him. As bad as I might be, he's worse. At least I'll sound like I'm singing and not like a dying animal begging to be shot.
5) I don't think I can come up with any more reasons, but those are good enough.

Listen up kiddies... William Hung proves that you DON'T have to be talented to make it big in America! You can suck so much butt and STILL make money as long as you are clueless that you suck and people will only buy because they love seeing you make a butt out of yourself! Only in a America!

Man, that is so sad. Living in infamy must be better than living as a nobody it seems.

Listen, this disparity exists on many levels.

A man who can throw a ball into a hoop/ hit it very far / carry it from one end of the field to another gets paid more than people who do services society actually needs.

People find something they like about Mr. Hung, as people find other things that they like and waste their money on. I find him on the same level of offensiveness as any major artist or celebrity or what have you that I don't like. Good for them, they made money, I sure as hell ain't spending it.

Now if you excuse me, I'll be spending +$200 on a very rare item. It's called an air guitar, and I hear it goes for alot more than it's being sold for!

Fry's Electronics has an awards ceremony that we hold once a year. Mostly consists of breakfast, singing, and awards. Our Assistant Manager did that "She Bangs" song, as a parody to William Hung, but I had never heard it before. Now listening to William Hung, I have to say my Assistant Manager was much better.
