As your relationship progresses, the technology used to express your feelings should progress too. Maybe make her a mixed CD this time. ;)

I'm sorry, everytime somebody mentions making a mix tape I think of Stewie from Family Guy. Anyways, gifts I have gotten for lady friends involve jewelry, but they weren't expensive. Just be sure they look nice, becuase that's the important part. In NYC I picked up a handbag from Chinatown for cheap cheap cheap. In my experience, any sort of gift shows the girl that you at least care about her, they tend not to care what it is.

another thing girls like is those gift baskets from bath and body.

Make her a necklace.

Just get some nice leather strap and construct a metallic coil or something to hold a gem.

Then find her birthday to determine her gemstone/birthstone, like an amethyst or something, and wedge inside the coil.

A mixed CD. Thats what I give. Last year I got her a 10+ track CD of All Your Base songs, printed out a CD cover/case and wrapped it up all nice. She -loved- it.

Well, if she's not your girlfriend [yet], you probably shoudln't get her a bath/body gift basket....I mean, that's kinda like saying "Hey sexy, I really like you but you smell! Here you go!"

On the other hand, if you're trying to "woo" her, a mix CD won't do that. I say....go for jewlry. Maybe a necklace or blacelet, or both. The possibilities are endless, just show her you care, and if she likes you back then she'll love whatever you get her. ;)

Mine is getting an older Darth Vader figure from back after the Trilogy was re-released (she looooves the Sith Lord), copies of the BBC audio book versions of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and the Restaurant at the End of the Universe (those were on tape and I digitized them and threw them on CDs), and a copy of Photoshop 7.
