I will give it to Guild wars, it does have nicer graphics than WoW, but it's so much smaller. :(

SAJN, are you in a guild? If not, I am, and I have a ventrilo server that I host with me, my brother, his girlfriend, and one of my friends. We haven't started recruiting yet because we just all hit level 20.

It has great graphics. Starcraft doesn't have good graphics by today's standards. WoW is perfectly fine.

Yeah, I just got Guild Wars as a Christmas present so I was able to see some of the Wintersday stuff :) However, I didn't login into the character that has access to that part of the game yet so I didn't see what they had up for Christmas day. I did login to WoW though and got the chance to open the presents under the christmas tree. That was pretty fun since my gnome rogue got two gnome "santa helpers" as pets :). Being able to summon one and then use my "world enlarger" makes for the funny looking results :D

It's models have few polygons and the textures are low res. It doesnt ruin the game by any means, but I'm just saying that the graphics are no longer cutting edge.
My 9800 pro can run it on full @ 1680x1050 w/4x AA no problem.

The graphics of WoW are amazing. Graphics aren't all about hi res textures and shaders, it's about how nice it looks. It's warcraft's STYLE. If you go thinking that blizzard is incompetant or something in terms of graphics, look at Starcraft Ghost. They did it on purpose, not only because it's how Warcraft *is* but because they wanted to attract a broader audiance.

And plus, if you had 30,000 poly models and Source physics, you'd chug in an empty field. MMOs are supposed to be smooth.

It loads when you change sides of the map, but that's because it's two different servers.

...and when you join an instance. I play both GWs and WoW and enjoy both. However, I hate not being able to jump or explore in GWs.

It doesn't matter if you can run it at uber settings and get great framerate. You know, most people call that a GOOD thing. And unless you can give me the polygon count of the models, and the resolution settings of every texture, stfu please. It's got style going for it if NOTHING else, and trust me, it has plenty else going for it too.

You feel the need to argue about [/i]everything, and then when the argument turns against you, you change your position slightly and act like you've been arguing for the same thing all along. What on earth makes you do that? Do you get some perverted sense of fun out of it, or is it just a compulsion?

Do you have to ask that? It's Dj-Yoshi, and if you haven't figured it out in how long you've been hear, Yoshi likes to argue (Under no circumstances did I mean for that to insult you, Yoshi.) but yeah Yoshi, you do sometimes seem to change your opinion.

And Obi, they wanted to discuss the games' graphics, and Glyde's opinion was that WoW had good graphics. You contradicted him, so show some reasons why like Yoshi said. You INVITED someone to argue with you when you gave no reasons for your statement.

And before you starting telling me all the flaws I have, I know I have flaws and can be an ***, so no reason to point those out.

There is a difference between a discussion and a flame war. Yoshi was trying it into a flame war. The trouble with arguments is no one argues to enhance their mutual understanding anymore. They just argue for the sake of arguing and of course to win. they put forth arguments that they don't really believe in. They are just put out there to slow the enemy down. It's retarded.

I find if funny how with WoW's graphics being slightly less quality than Guild Wars, I get better framerate playing Guild Wars than I do in WoW. In WoW, my FPS is like 20-30 on average but in Guild Wars, its around 40-50.

Guild Wars isn't as open as WoW though. It's a LOT smaller. Anyway, IT"S STILL WINTERSDAY! GRAPHIX GRAPHICS GRAPHIX LOL! ARGUE ARGUE ARGUE!
