I don't feel safe anymore. I mean I know the admins have been doing everything they can do to keep links that may link to other sites that may link to porn out of our forums, but this has gotten crazy.

Today I was on [url]www.massassi.net[/url] and I decided to click on the Serious Editing link that massassi links too and even HOSTS. Well from that site I found the GameSpy Network Serious Sam news site. On that website was a link to Direct 2 Drive a company that allows you to purchase and download games over the internet. I clicked on that site to check out what games they have, and one of the items they sell is 'Girls of Gaming' a magazine full of naked gaming girls, and cartoons and all sorts of pixilated nude women. So I am afraid to tell all of you, that Massassi links to hentai.

I think the only option we have is to shut down the forums. For good. I know it sounds harsh, but I fear that all the thousands of children that are possibly lurking on our forums MIGHT stumble upon a link here that may somehow get them to look at porn, and we don't want to be responsible for that.

Blatantly linking to sites which feature pornography is against the rules on this forum. I don't understand why that is so complicated.

Newgrounds links to a lot of porn but it's acceptable, and a lot of other sited get away with similar things with just 'warnings' I don't see why a warning is good enough for some sites, but not others. If people want porn they will find it, but if people link to a video site that might link to porn then whats the big deal?

If people want porn, they are going to go to some site they know or google it or something, but why would a person linked to a comical video feel the need to click on the "FREE ANAL XXX SLUTS 4 U FREE" link on the side of the webpage. Newgrounds links used to be banned, then they were acceptable with just a warning, and now we don't even need a warning. There is a thread about posting your favorite flash videos and most of the links go to newgrounds, which not only links to porn/hentai it hosts videos of it.

More like, they should still be banned.

To edit a post because of a pornographic link is understandable, but to lock the post altogther is a wee bit overboard. At least give the poster a chance to find a link without the porn.

They've been banned. I've had newground links taken off. The only time they aren't is when admins just don't catch it.

But anyway. I just remove the link. I don't close the thread. I looked at all those newgrounds links. I didn't find any links to porn. I even saw the main page. I find no porn links. Perhaps newgrounds cleaned up a bit. Or did I miss something.

I the spirit of justifying myself, when I posted my thread with the video of the 6 punches per second guy, I didn't see any porn links, probably because I had them adblocked.

That's why questionable links just get edited out. Esepcially if it's not a common occurance for the person who posts the link.
