PC troubles :(

Alright the PC works fine, but I can't play any games. I can't past the charactar creation in Bakdurs Gate II, it crashed or freezes my PC, or says that there was an error saving some files. Then Halo won't start up. UT2k4 either crashes or restarts my PC, same with Far Cry!!! HELP!!

I just had the PC re-built

AMD Athlon XP 2100+
AT/AT COMPATIBLE
1,048,048 KB RAM
Radeon 9600 XT/TD

We checked, PC is running at normal heat. Just had new fans in. They all work. Plus that doesn't explain all these errors.

Did that. nForce drivers and video drivers. Still not working, and the CPU is running between 120 - 130 degrees Fahrenheit.

HAHAHA... No. Already done that 3 times over. Btw, its not just UT2004 and FarCry, the crash and reboot thing is with all games.

They're brothers.

It's your power supply. What wattage is it?

Well, then it can't be the powersupply. Got any other symptoms you can tell us?

Have you tried reseting the BIOS to the default values?

Flash the CMOS, try a different PSU (500 watts is WAY too much for that setup anyhow), and try different RAM. Also, make sure your DIODES on the CPU are running at good temps, using either Motherboard Monitor, or WinHW Doctor. These are the only things I can think of.

No such thing as too much. Although a 400watt would suffice, a 500 wouldn't hurt anything at all.

Yup. And I've seen quite a few of them...you guys probably went for the "Cheaper and better deal", which doesn't work. That's why I said try a diff PSU.
