How do I find out what my power supply is?

On my AMD Athlon 64 3200+? I cant figure it out.. I need a 480 W PS for an AGP 6800 Ultra card..

The power supply is in the top, back corner of your case, with the fan. You might be able to find out in the device mananger in in the BIOS. Chance are you'll need a new one though if your computer is more than a yaer old though.

Then you should be alright. Check the device manager jsut to be sure though.

You don't need a 480 watt PSU. I'd also suggest against getting a 6800Ultra and for getting a 6800GT. No difference except clock speeds. And it's not even that big of a difference.

But that's just me. I'd suggest a 400W PSU, though I've run my 6800GT on a 300W so it's not that big of a deal.

400 watt is generally safe. Anything below is pushing it unless you have hardly any hardware in the system.

Normally the device manager won't say **** about the PSU specs. There should be a sticker on the side of the PSU telling what the rating is. Most likely you'll be just fine.

So.. the only MAJOR difference between the 6800 Ultra and 6800 GT is price?
