Fantasy writers

Heya folks, I've been kicking this idea around for quite some time, and I was wondering if there were any fantasy writers on these here forums.

I'm asking because over the last year or so, I've randomly kicked around ideas for a small fantasy fiction and roleplaying club that I was looking to start. I GUESS you could call it a roleplaying group, but I like to see it as more.

What I want is to build and evolve a world around the membership, each adding their own tid-bits and trully making their characters a part of a world. How is that different from any typical roleplaying group, really?

Its the features and different activities that will make it so different (I hope.) I mean to be able to hold run-ons, short story / epic story competitions, and also mean to build a basic diceless rp system (based heavily around Morrowind's) to help bring to life our characters.

I'm not trying to sell my idea here, just basically fishing around to see if anyone would be interested in such an activity or if I should shut up and crawl back to where I come from. (Which is Quebec... so please... have some pity. :P)

Well if they are interested sure.

I mean the club to be based around serious storylines (of course there will be place for comedy stories and whatnot, albeit I don't want it to dominate like its grown to be in say the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

Here is the base of the website I've designed. Nothing on there is really concrete though.

[EDIT : Hmpf, seems my space was shut down so I stuck an older version up on krath.org. Bloody small time webspace suppliers. ]

[EDIT 2 : I think its going to be time to beg Cool Matty for an account. *fumbles for his credit card and paypal crapola*]

I've been meaning to get into something like that for a while. Frankly, I'd quite like to breath some life into the other part of me. ¬¬
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I'm alraedy involved in something like it, so I'm gonna have to turn this down.
"Jayne, this is something the Captain has to do for himself"

"N-No it's not!"

"Oh."

I mean to also hold a combat arena section, where two players will write their characters fighting the other one, each taking turns until each write a deathpost where they write how they would defeat / kill their opponents. In the end, a judge will read over the battle and select a winner.

I personally have done this for a long time in the DB's Antei Combat Center and its a really fun writing game, and its quite a challenge to actually write against someone else like that. :p

I think a bit more detail as to how the stories would be written, and as to their subject would be requried before I'd sign on as a writer.

And as for webhosting, send me a PM :D :D

That kind of stuff is fun. :)
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Lassev: I guess there was something captivating in savagery, because I liked it.
