Believe it or not, that's the best I could get out of the cables. All that mess of cables there is required after all, since they all go to something, heh. Maybe one of these days I'll give cable wrap a shot. Isn't as bad as it looks though since the case is really wide so they're not all in blocking the air like they appear to be.

Works great though. Bout 6.5 C drop in CPU temp over the old stock fan and 4.5 C drop in case temp. Not to mention Prime95 doesn't fail after two minutes anymore. Never had any stability problems with the old one, but Prime95 always failed so that really annoyed me. That looks to be fixed now, but I'll let it run for quite a few hours to make sure later.

Now the fun part. Overclocking it more than it was.

Mildly loud on full. On minimum speed it's no louder than the stock fan.

And yeah, love the massive Antec case. It's my favorite case out of all I've ever had.

So not only can you now overclock your computer more, but it reaches a safe cruising altitude of 60,000 feet in less than 3 minutes? [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

I have that same heatsink/fan combo. Allows for massive overclocking doesn't it. The only problem is when you overclock alot, and have lights in your case, you have to turn your lights off when you play games that require lots of graphics because they produce too much heat and it'll shut down your pc. I speak from experience here. So I don't really reccomend mixing heavy oc-ing with lights for those of you out there who may try it.

I don't want your signature on the same page as mine. It's talking to my signature, and making it feel bad about itself.

Rofl, never heard the lights thing, but I never put lights inside my case.

Well, Spork, I could overclock it a bit, but not too much higher than it already is. My memory doesn't like to go any higher. So to get it any higher, I'd have to change the ratio and run the memory at a lower speed, which I don't really want to do. Plus, 3 GHz is plenty fine for now.

Let it run idle for about 30 minutes earlier. 41 C processor and 32 C case. Not bad for an overclocked P4 in a closed case. Around 55 C at peak or so. It used to sometimes get near 65 C on the old HSF.

I almost did the same thing after my original p4 fan broke. But I decided to go the quite route with a Zalman fan:

I'm glad it came with a 3.5" drive bay mount for the potentiometer. I assumed it wouldn't because it wasn't listed, and the pictures didn't show it. Luckily it did though, so I didn't have to make my own out of a drive bay cover, heh.
