Autopsies were under way Thursday, and officials would not comment on the cause of death or how long the men might have survived.

John Groves, whose brother Jerry was one of the victims, told The Associated Press that he knew that at least four notes were left behind. He said his family did not receive one.

Is it just me, or does this seem like a coverup. I mean, autopsy reports concealed, missing notes. I think something else were written on those other notes.

I know it's sort of (actually very) farfecthed, but it just seems like a strange incident, along with the whol miscomunication thing. Anyone feel the same way?

I honestly agree with you. Sure, conspiracy theories can be silly... but this is fishy. Maybe it's bad procedure or something, but until we hear more information, I remain skeptical.

Fishy things can only happen on a fishing boat, there are coaly things in a coal mine. GET IT RIGHT.

Maybe they had dimensia and wrote notes about drilling holes in their face from the pressure?

Maybe they arent saying anything until they have a good idea of what happened?

That would be my guess, since they screwed up the information once. Sounds logical.

Reports say the mine was a disaster area anyway, with the federal branch coming in to shut stuff down repeatedly. This mine was way above the national average for injuries, as were the other mines of the same owners.

Maybe they wrote notes because they were trapped in a coal mine slowly dying of Carbon Monoxide poisoning and a lack of Oxygen.

Just a hunch.

Yeah right. That explains why some family members didn't get to read, or even know about some of the notes. What could of been written on the notes to warrent confiscation?

Maybe they were terrists?

Or hey, heres a thought. Maybe they were illiterate? I mean, if I were them I would have had a better job.

I don't care how rock bottom you are, there HAD to be something else.

Or maybe they ate rotten fish in the coal mine? That would make it fishy...
2006-01-06, 9:02 PM #14
Nah, that'd make it rotten fishy.

Where are our West Virginians? Ach? Zecks? Why don't YOU mine?

This is just the lamest conspiracy ever.

You want a conspiracy? Have you heard about the "Al Qaeda" member coming on Al Jazeera and saying it's a victory for Islam that the Americans pull troops out? Given our record of implanting fake stories into the Iraqi media, I think it's highly plausible that we could have done the same there to give the media a good story of why we're renigging on our promise of pulling troops out. That's a conspiracy, thats the kind of thing that kills hundreds of thousands of people, thats the thing our media should be focused on, not the low impact (Yet certainly tragic) deaths of 11 coal miners.
