Post your favourite X-Men Character and Comic Series

Well, my friend got a bootlegged copy of the X-Men animated series on DVD for X-Mas, and I have been reliving my childhood ever since. Been trying to go get some comics, especially the newer series. So post.

I was always a fan of Wolverine and Nightcrawler (from the comics, not movies. I wasn't one of those who really enjoyed the movies.)

Magneto....but that's based on the movies cause I never read the comics.

Oh, just a personal opinion, but if you never read the comics, you were cheated out of a childhood experience. Carry on.

Nightcrawler FTW

I have to say Wolverine. He holds an unfair amount of coolness over the other characters.

Apprently a new comic came about 2 years ago called the Origins that CLEARLY spelles out Logan's birth, child life, and his REAL name. I am trying to find out where to get it at this instance.

Iceman, because Shawn Ashmore is so hot.

Nightcrawler, Gambit and Shadowcat (Especially when Wolverine teaches her the ways of the Samurai)

Good luck finding all the issues. They are next to impossible, and issue one has a 3 digit price tag on it already.

You can get the graphic novel though most likely at any comic store, or most major bookstores.

And I always liked Colossus
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

As a kid, I always like Colossus for some unknown reason too.

ps, He fought Magneto alone with nothing more then a baseball bat.

Not really. If they are near invincible, why not just kill everyone? Oh wait, that would ruin the story. The dude is 5,000 years old and like...never took over the world until an actual RESISTANCE appears of mutants who can stand up to him? Loser.

Magneto. He was my favorite character already in the comics many, many years ago, when I read them, and the movies only made that opinion stronger.

Beak could school apocalypse. Hes supposed to be coming back so beak can beat him with a bat too.

(But I htink due to the House of M saga beak has lost his powers of being a deformed bird man and appears normal)

And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

Wolvie. He's the best superhero ever, not just X-Men.

Regeneration, adamantium covered skeleton, and retractable claws. It's a winning combination.

I can't decide on just one character. I liked the 80s incarnation of Meltdown (aka Boom-Boom, Boomer) because she was so completely saturated with 80s trends. Her power was the ability to create these little time bomb things that she could then throw or leave places to detonate with a fairly small explosive force. Other than that she was a very stereotypical teenager who just happened to have powers. Basically, she was Jubilee done right. :p Then they remade her into a mature non-80s character and I lost interest.

I also like Nightcrawler, but again an older rendition of him - back when he lead Excalibur. That was a fun comic. Everyone knows Nightcrawler, so no explanation needed. :p

Finally, I really like Multiple Man, aka Jamie Madrox. His power is creating duplicates of himself by using kinetic energy somehow... like, he claps his hands and another Jamie appears, who is able to act semi-independantly, but is ultimately controlled by the original guy. He was a member of X-Factor, and they came up with some really interesting uses for him. I wanted to find a picture online of one scene where a veritable wave of multiple men was washing over an enemy, but alas...

[edit]Oh, apparently this dude (Eric Dane) is playing Jamie in X3. Not bad appearance-wise, hope he's smartass enough for the role. :)[/edit]
