Just upgrade from .5g to 1g. My .5 and 1 g sticks aren't playing well together so I can't use both at once.

Ghost, I just recently upgraded to 2g, and I'd say its worth the money. Some will run around screaming it wont make a difference, but I've actually seen a good increase in load times in games like Battlefield 2, Morrowind and etc.

Its not a dramatic increase, depending on your wallet, but if you've got the cash, then I'd personally say go for it. (And make it 2x 1gb sticks.)

I have a gig of RAM in my system. It used to be 768 until I decided to swipe a stick from my mother's computer. She only plays solitare and does taxes on it so she can live with only 256 ram anyway :p One gig seems to be enough for now. All I really need now is to upgrade the CPU (its currently AMD XP 2500+ 1.8 ghz) and get a better video card (its currently a Geforce FX 5600). My sound card is ancient too but that's one component you really don't need to upgrade unless you want surround sound or something.
